John McNamara (American, b. 1950) Untitled Signed and dated "John McNamara 81" on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 50 x 50 in. (127 x 127 cm), framed. Condition: Surface grime. N.B. A native of Boston, John McNamara is presently a professor of Art Practice at the University of California, Berkeley. He received his B. F. A. in Painting in 1971 and his M. F. A. in Painting in 1977 from the Massachusetts College of Art, and his works are in university museum collections on the East and West coasts. Heavy impasto, light craquelure, no additional condition issues to report.
