Diego Rivera (Mexico, 1886-1957) unframed chalk drawing depicting a crowd of men and women with the men wearing sombreros. Measures 19-3/4" in height and 15-7/8" in width. All measurements are approximate. No authentication paperwork accompanies this piece, however signature and style are consistent with those of known works by the artist and is signed to the lower right hand corner. Provenance: from the estate of a prominent European & Texas collector, known to not only to have collected quite an amazing assortment of notable art, but to have befriended a vast majority of the artists of whose work was acquired.
