Continental, early to mid 20th century. A Neoclassical style gilt metal fire fender, having two fluted and gadrooned bellflower form covered urn supports with acanthus leaf and acorn finials, on acanthine bases with decorative finials, beading, fasces decoration, and rosettes, with an acanthus tipped and laurel swagged fender. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 13.5", width 33", depth 5.25".
