A collection of three round Polekh School Russian black lacquer plates comprising of a large plate depicting fairy tale imagery including four figures in front of traditional Russian architecture surrounding a large green toad with rosette halo, and stylized trees and clouds, surrounded by gold scrollwork on tondo, signed on lower left in Cyrillic, 10" diameter; a large figural plate depicting a fairy tale scene including two regal figures atop a floating carpet, one clutching cage holding a phoenix, flanked by a faced crescent moon, floating atop a scene of traditional Russian architecture with stylized moon, clouds, and stars, surrounded by a border on tondo of gold scrollwork, signed lower left in Cyrillic, diameter 9.5"; a smaller round ornately painted figural plate depicting regal figures in a forest scene flanked by a chest of gold treasures and an owl, backed by a horse led sleigh approaching a village scene, surrounded by a gold border of scrollwork, signed on lower edge in Cyrillic, 7" diameter.
