Group of three rectangular Palekh School Russian black lacquer boxes comprising of a long box decorated with a male rider on horseback galloping in front of a walled city, in hues of orange, green, gold, and ruby, with stylized dunes and trees in the foreground, with gold patterned border on lid and red lacquered interior, signed lower right lid in Cyrillic, 3. 5" x 7.25" x 1.5"; a smaller footed box with with a sleigh ride scene on the lid with three horses drawing a sleigh of a courtly couple and driver, surrounded by swirls of green, a solid border punctuated by scrollwork, and a wave pattern border in gold with red lacquered interior, signed lower right lid in Cyrillic, 2.75" x 5.25" x 1.5"; small figural box with black lid and red lacquered body, depicting a man in robes catching a phoenix by the tail, in hues or orange, green, and gold, surrounded by a dotted border and a second ornate border of scrollwork punctuated by red stylized rosettes in each corner, with a scrolled border in gold along the red body of the box, signed on lower lid in Cyrillic, with a red lacquer interior, 2.5" x 4" x 1.25".
