Thomas Henry Hair (British, 1810-1882) Landscape with Fisherman, Punt, and Eel Traps Signed and dated "Tho. H. Hair/1858" l.l., identified on a typed label affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 15 7/8 x 21 5/8 in. (40.0 x 54.7 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, scattered retouch. Provenance: From the estate of Ruth Troiani, Connecticut. Ruth and her husband Dominick married in New Orleans in 1942. They began collecting antiques shortly thereafter, and started dealing in antiques in the 1960s.
