circa 1830 the frame enclosing a padded back, sides and stuffover seat with nail head decoration, raised on square tapering legs. Height 36 x width 56 x depth 22 1/2 inches. Property from a Chicago Collector, Formerly of Lake Forest, Illinois In decent, stable, usable condition. Frame with fairly even finish throughout but with splits to both sides near the joint at the bottom of the crest rail. Some scattered losses to veneer with light to moderate surface wear (nicks and scratches) consistent with age and use. Upholstery later, mostly intact. Additional images available upon request.
