second quarter 19th century with a silk-upholstered stuffover seat, raised on square tapering legs. Height 36 1/2 inches. Chair in overall stable, attractive condition. Old scuffs, marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use. Larger abrasion on chair seat at left. Scattered age splits consistet with age. Left crest rail with 1/2 inch square area of replaced veneer. Some separation between splat base and side supports. Central medallion possibly later. Likely First-Half 19th Century.
