American, Late 19th/ early 20th century. Hand silk and crewel (wool) embroidered figural work depicting a young lady composed of lithograph paper applique adorned with hand sewn elements such as flowers on hair with ringlet curls, brown shawl or wrap, bouquet of flowers in raised hand, pearl bracelets and necklace, dress and large U shaped floral spray with peonies and other flowers on webbed fabric ground, work contained within a gilt circular frame with florals. Framed diameter 25". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
