Sturtevant Hamblen (Maine, Massachusetts, fl. 1837-1856) Portrait of a Boy in a Blue Dress with His Dog Unsigned. Oil on canvas, the subject full-length holding a riding crop in one hand and a pink ribbon in the other, standing in front of his brown dog, 25 1/2 x 18 1/2 in., in a molded giltwood frame. Condition: Lined, possibly trimmed and laid down, repaired tear from right edge with associated retouch, inpaint to other small areas.
