Sister Mary Corita Kent (American, 1918 - 1986), "Shout for Joy"-circa 1960-70, serigraph on paper, graphite titled at lower left "Shout for Joy", graphite signed at lower right "Mary Corita Kent". Figural abstract print depicting the Virgin Mary with the infant Christ, the figures each surrounded by stylized halo or heavenly glow, with rich jewel tone palette. Framed approximately 40.75" x 32.25". Note: Sister Mary Corita Kent was an American Catholic Nun and social rights activist. The Corita Art Center in Los Angeles, California is dedicated to the life and work of the artist.
