Edison Projecting Kinetoscope, by Edison Manufacturing Co. , Orange, New Jersey, No. 5626, with hand-turned mechanism, shutter, adjustment mechanism, brass-bound Bausch & Lomb/Edison lens, No. 848818/3253, a Bausch & Lomb No. 2A lens, No. 2895, oak case with maker's plaque with 1893 and 1897 patent dates, and illuminant housing with limelight mechanism, (cracked) condenser lens and lantern slide slot, the projector ht. 20 in. N.B. Discovered in the upper Midwest, this outfit, possibly making up what was advertised as the 1901 Model, is in remarkably good condition, showing little, if any signs of use. At the time, exhibitors paid in the region of $100 to purchase these machines, and were free to exhibit wherever they could.
