Sterling Silver Tea and Coffee Service, Taunton, Massachusetts, 20th century, comprising a coffee pot, teapot, covered sugar bowl, creamer, and waste bowl, all vasiform, the domed lids with cast urn finials, with molded gadrooned rims, on circular molded feet, together with a matching oval tea tray, (6 pieces), approx. 172 troy oz., the coffee pot ht. 10 in., the tray lg. to handles 25, wd. 15 1/2 in. Provenance: The estate of Bettie Broyhill Gortner, trustee of Converse College, Salem Academy, and Blowing Rock Hospital, and daughter of J.E. Broyhill, founder of Broyhill Furniture Industries.
