Classic Navajo Woman's Dress Half, c. mid-19th century, tightly woven in handspun and raveled wool, with variegated dark brown, deep indigo blue, and cochineal dyed (?) reds, the upper and lower borders with terraced frame and a row of blue crosses on a dark red band, (wool loss), 51 x 31 in. Provenance: From the collection of Rowland G. Hazard II (1855-1918), a textile mill owner, deaccessioned from a New England museum.
