Pair of Chippendale Mahogany Carved Side Chairs, Boston or Salem, Massachusetts area, 1755-85, the serpentine crests end in raked molded ears center carved shells above the owl-shaped splats with carved volutes above the slip seats and Marlborough front legs, which have beaded outer edges, joined by similar square stretchers to the rear raking legs, old refinish, (minor imperfections), hts 38, seat ht. 16 5/8 in.
