Turned and Painted Great Chair, probably Connecticut, mid-18th century, the yoked crest rail above a vasiform splat joining turned stiles with canted vase and ring-turned arms ending in knob handholds on vase and ring-turned supports continuing to button feet joined by double bulbous front stretchers and planed side stretchers, painted red/brown over earlier paint, (minor imperfections), ht. 48, seat ht. 16 1/2 in.
