Heart-and-crown Great Chair, possibly Milford, Connecticut, c. 1760-70, the pierced crest above molded bannisters, and vase- and ring-turned stiles, with scrolled arms and medial arm stretchers, painted black, (legs probably pieced), ht. 47, seat ht. 16 1/2 in. Estimate $800-1,200 has wear on the feet but one might expect them to be more worn. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
