Jacques Lipchitz (French, 1891-1973) Battle with Minotaur, 1945, edition of 50. Signed "JLipchitz" in pencil l.r., numbered "8/50" in pencil l.l., collector's stamps on the reverse. Etching with engraving and aquatint on paper, plate size 13 7/8 x 11 1/4 in. (35.2 x 28.5 cm), matted, unframed. Condition: Margins over 1 3/4 inches with deckled edges on three sides, upper margin folded over 1 1/4 inches above the platemark, subtle toning and light staining. N.B. Sold to benefit a university art museum.
