Frank Weston Benson (American, 1862-1951) Portrait of Charles Martin Loeffler, 1919, published state, possibly a later printing by the artist (Paff, 156). Signed "FrankW.Benson" in pencil l.l., dedicated "to Lucien Price 1938" in pencil l.c., initialed and dated in the plate. Etching on laid paper, plate size 9 7/8 x 7 7/8 in. (25.0 x 20.0 cm), matted, frame accompanies the lot. Condition: Margins 3/4 inches or more with deckled upper edge, gently light struck, brown paper tape to upper corners.
