Frank Weston Benson (American, 1862-1951) Lot of Two Impressions of Widgeon Rising, 1920, one a trial proof D, edition of 4, the other published state, edition of 150 (Paff, 172). Both signed "FrankW.Benson" in pencil l.l., identified on labels from the Schwartz Gallery, New York, on the reverse. Etchings on paper (the former laid, the latter Shogun with watermark), plate sizes 11 3/8 x 7 3/8 in. (28.7 x 18.7 cm), presented in a common frame. Condition: Both lightstruck, with gentle ripples and unpressed creases, and with deckled upper and lower edges, margins to proof 1 inch or more, margins to latter approximately 1 1/2 inches.
