After Sir Anthony Van Dyke (Flemish, 1599-1641) Sketch for Children of Charles I Unsigned, identified on a label from M. Knoedler & Co., New York, affixed to the reverse. Red chalk on paper, 11 1/4 x 12 1/2 in. (28.6 x 31.8 cm), framed. Condition: Toning, small tears to edges, scattered staining, not examined out of frame. Provenance: Sold by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, for the benefit of acquisition funds. N.B. The painting of this image is in the Royal Collection at Windsor Castle.
