Ernest William Christmas (Australian, 1863-1918) Mountain View Signed "E W Christmas RBA" l. l. Oil on canvas, 28 x 40 in., framed (in a liner). Condition: Minor scattered punctures, retouch, craquelure, surface grime. Two small punctures with losses in the u.r. quadrant. Retouch is a few scattered small areas with some light scattered varnish inconsistencies. Stable craquelure throughout with areas of separating ( at center). The work would benefit from a gentle cleaning.
