Empire Mahogany Tall Clock by John Byrne, Dublin, circa 1830, dome top carved hood with brass bezel and dial door enclosing the 12 in. dia. painted iron dial with Roman numerals and signed by the maker, the waist door flanked by chamfered columns, the base with veneered panel in a molded frame all on a bracket foot base, eight-day time and strike movement with two cast iron weights and brass pendulum bob, ht. 77 1/2 in. dial discolored, lacking a second''s hand, hour and minute hands repaired and painted, pendulum rod repaired, movement needs cleaning and overhaul.
