Gilbert Regulator No. 7 Floor-standing Clock, Winsted, Connecticut, c. 1880, the walnut case with carved pediment and central bust flanked by turned finials, full-length glazed door with supporting scroll work and glazed openings at the sides, on a substantial carved base, 11 in. porcelain dial, moon hands and Swiss eight-day movement with pin-wheel, dead-beat escapement, brass cased weight all regulated by a gridiron, temperature-compensating pendulum, (one replacement finial, object left side lite broken, lacking second hand), ht. 103 in.
