Chippendale Carved Cherry Slant-lid Desk, probably Pennsylvania, late 18th century, the paneled prospect door opens to two valanced compartments and two drawers flanked by document drawers with reeded pilaster fronts, replaced brasses, old refinish, ht. 44 1/2, wd. 39 1/2, dp. 22 in. base reglued but original, drawer fronts plugged where old brasses were; hinges on lid replaced, lid has a separated crack due to shrinkage.
