Rare Ambrotype Photograph of Southern Cheyenne Chief War Bonnet, c. 1863, probably taken during the 1863 delegation to Washington D.C., War Bonnet sits in the same chair that "Tom Thumb" was photographed in by Alexander Gardiner, he wears his war shirt and German silver pectoral, with a buffalo robe on his lap, photograph is in half its original leather covered case, 3 1/4 x 2 5/8 in. Note: War Bonnet was killed in 1864 at Sand Creek.
