First edition, octavo, rebacked black calf boards with gilt stampings, containing six albumen photographs of veterans and six hand-colored lithographs of their homes, each with tissue guards, two pages of notes at the back, (rear endpaper loose, lacking fold-out letter), 7 5/8 x 5 3/8 in. Provenance: Deaccessioned from the John Teti Rare Photography Book Collection, New Hampshire Institute of Art.
