Wilson, James (1742-1798), Signer from Pennsylvania, Manuscript Documents Signed, (Philadelphia), August 20th, 1794 and June10th, 1796, each signed as Justice of the Supreme Court, three pages with full docket, the first is for articles of agreement between Wilson and John Young for Gabriel and Joseph Heister; the second is a financial document agreement to payment terms, signed twice, (scattered minor discoloration and some fold weakness). Note: An important early jurist in the Supreme Court, Wilson's land speculation debts eventually caused him to flee Pennsylvania for New Jersey whilst still a member of the court, he died a year later.
