A large, Louis XIV-style silvered and gilt bronze jewelry box with Baroque ornamentation, topped by a putti holding a trident and flanked by two patinated and gilt dolphins, the sides embellished with foliage, shell, ribbon, and acanthus motifs with lion's heads on chamfered corners, standing on four C-scroll feet. Lined in light gray silk. Unmarked. Approximate height 13.6", width 12.2", depth 6.9".
