Italian, 20th century. A matched pair of George II style giltwood console tables, after a design by William Kent, having a serpentine molded rosso colored granite top over a conforming base with egg and dart, ribbon and flowerhead molding supported by spread winged full bodied eagle, the sides with swags of acorn and oak leaves, standing on a rocky craig atop a reverse serpentine molded giltwood plinth base. Stamped to the backside 'MADE IN ITALY 1049". Approximate height 35.87", width 53", depth 25".
