Chinese, Qing Dynasty Yongzheng Period mark (1723-1735), likely later. A flambe glazed baluster vase comprising tall ring foot surmounted by high shouldered body bearing fu dog mask handles with drop ring from mouth, and incurvate neck under flaring mouth, with allover purple to red flambe glaze thinning at mouth to a greenish ochre tone, the underside glazed in rich orange tone. Underside with impressed four character mark for the Yongzheng imperial reign. Approximate height 13.25", diameter 9".
