GERMAN SILVER MOUNTED & CUT GLASS CLARET JUG, LATE 19TH C. , H 14":Footed form glass claret jug, engraved with central floral reserve and mounted with a German .830 silver spout and handle, repousse decorated in scrolling foliate motif, surmounted by a putto form finial. The jug measures H.14" x 8 1/4" to the handle. Hallmarks are stamped at the base of the neck and include a crescent moon and crown, and partially rubbed maker's mark, possibly that of Richard Garten (see additional photo).
