German Silver-mounted Shell Figure, 19th century, marked with 13 loth standard, "N," and an indistinct maker's mark, ht. 6 1/2 in. Estimate $400-600 Wear to gold-washed surface, few minor nicks to silver edges. Edge of sword bent around back of body slightly, possibly missing another element to the ornament on top of the cap. Edge of base bent slightly, wobbles. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
