Italian, 19th century. Venetian paint decorated wood bombe commode having a serpentine shaped top over a conforming case with two drawers, the whole painted in pale grey, the top, drawers, sides and apron decorated with simulated panels outlined in crimson stringing enclosing floral painted bouquets on blue grey field, the bombe angles terminating on slender cabriole legs united by a shaped apron. Approximate size 37", width 47", depth 21.5".
