Tableau Mecanique Automaton, circa 1880, of two bisque dolls in original paper-edged 18th century style costumes dancing on a naturalistic papier-mache hill before a pierced-brass Ferris wheel, on ebonized base containing the pull-string cylinder movement playing two short airs and causing the dolls to lift and twist and the Ferris wheel to turn, on bun feet, ht. 10 in., (costumes fragile, one tooth off movement).
