Max Ernst, illustrator (German, 1891-1976) Les Chiens ont Soif by Jacques Prévert, 1964, total edition of 320 including two color etchings and twenty-five color lithographs (Leppien, A9). The etchings both signed "max ernst" in pencil l.r., the book identified and numbered "121" on the colophon page. Sheet sizes 17 1/4 x 12 3/8 in. (43.7 x 31.4 cm), presented in the original clamshell portfolio box. Condition: Subtle toning. The portfolio box has slight wear and soiling. The toning to the pages is extremely minor.
