Two Westerwald-type Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Jugs, Germany, one with pewter lid monogrammed "AK" with filet-ball thumbpiece and base mount, bulbous body with incised decoration of a bird centered by foliage, and strap handle, ht. 14 3/4 in.; the other with pewter lid monogrammed "C.J." with acorn thumbpiece, bulbous body with incised diaper decoration bordered by bands of scrolling foliage, and strap handle, ht. 14 3/4 in. The diaper decorated tankard with dark firing blemish to one side of body and one to interior, chips to rim and foot, area of imperfection in the diaper pattern, and repair to pewter where thumbpiece meets lid. The other with repairs to pewter lid and thumbpiece, the body in good condition with a small area or imperfection to the left of the incised design.
