Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Jug, probably made by a member of the Crolius or Remmey family of potters, New York City, late 18th/early 19th century, two-gallon salt-glazed ovoid jug with applied pulled handle, reeded neck, decorated with an incised bird perched on a leafy branch, accented with cobalt blue, and touches of cobalt blue at handle terminals, (minor imperfections), ht. 14 7/8 in.
