Two Westerwald-type Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Tankards, Germany, one with flat pewter lid, rim, and thumbpiece, and bulbous body with incised decoration of a stylized tulip flanked by spiral inset bands, ht. 9 3/8 in.; the other with flat pewter lid and filet-ball thumbpiece over humpen -shaped body with incised diaper pattern bordered by flowerheads, ht. 9 1/2 in. Bulbous tankard with chips to rim, humpen tankard with pewter rim and thumbpiece adhered to body.
