Kettle on Stand, London, 1750, John Swift, maker, kettle with rocaille engraving to body with heraldic shield to center, scrolled and wicker-wrapped handle joined by asymmetrical motif; stand with engraving to rim and pierced foliate arabesques on scrolled cabriole legs with splayed feet, ht. 12 1/2 in., approx. 59.6 troy oz. Original burner also included with wick. Replaced finial, wicker wrapped handle deteriorating and coming off, possible replaced pins and chains to stand, possible repair to inner spout, no other visible repairs or dents.
