Gorham & Co. Coin Silver Kettle on Stand, 1852-65, pear shaped kettle chased and embossed allover with fruiting grapevines, lid with figural finial of a seated Asian man with a hawk, with crabstock swing handle and spout, on base with crabstock legs conjoined by floral swags, enclosing burner, body engraved with name C.G. Pike, full ht. to top of lid finial 14 1/4 in., approx. 75 troy oz. total. one pin attaching kettle to stand replaced. burner lacking lid. minor age wear and heavy tarnish throughout. Marked to underside of kettle only. stand and burner unmarked.
