Rare Metal Thread Suzani "Portiere," Uzbekistan, mid-19th century, comprised of magenta rosettes staggered between a highly stylized meandering and curled vine with sporadically drawn flowerheads, the panel arch with two blossoming flowerheads each enclosed by a meandering vine, 8 ft. 3 in. x 5 ft. 8 in. overall, (d. 1 ft. at each side).
