A pair of Clark Gable signed checks: number 8048, in the amount of $1. 19 to Pickwick Bookshop on October 10, 1950, signed in blue ink and issued from the Ventura and Sepulveda Branch of the Security-First National Bank of Los Angeles; and number 11920, in the amount of $126.70 to Jean Garceau on September 27, 1955, signed in blue ink and issued from the Ventura and Sepulveda Branch of the Security-First National Bank of Los Angeles. Jean Garceau was the personal secretary to Carole Lombard. After Lombard's death Garceau worked for Gable. One year after Gable's death Garceau's "Dear Mr. G: The Biography of Clark Gable" was published.
