A Garrison hat signed by Clark Gable. The military green hat is signed "Clark Gable" and additionally marked "Oct 29/42." Gable enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps after the death of his wife, Carole Lombard, and was eventually sent to Miami Beach, Florida, to enter OCS training. He graduated on October 28, 1942. The hat is marked on the interior "CG" and "Clark Gable" and is believed to have been worn by the film star and United States Air Force Major. Shown here in a similar style hat.
