A group of four letters written by Marlene Dietrich to her husband, Rudolf Sieber, while on her USO tour during World War II. Includes 22 personal photographs taken by Dietrich, an illegible note in Dietrich's hand, a German monetary note, and a newspaper cut-out with Dietrich's handwritten annotations. One letter reads in part, "...We hope to leave here in four days. Ministers, consuls, press, hospitals, 2 shows a day. No sleep because of the wind..." Three in original transmittal envelopes, dated September and December 1944. One is illegibly dated original transmittal envelope of Dietrich's personal stationery.
