A Gretsch “Irish Falcon” stage played guitar signed by U2 frontman Bono. Model number G61361, serial number JT05129425, everygreen finish, arched laminated maple body, two-piece maple neck, ebony fingerboard, Gretsch G-Cadillac tailpiece, and High Sensitive Filter “Tron” pickups. Bono’s 2005 Gretsch “Irish Falcon” has Bono’s actual signature on the neck of the guitar at the 12th fret position. The color of the guitar is “Everygreen,” personally chosen by Bono. The guitar’s scratch plate, in gold with “The Goal Is Soul” in black letters, was also personally designed by Bono. Bono performs with U2 with this model on such classic songs as “One” and “Walk On.” Signed in gold marker by Bono and decorated with gold, hand drawn flowers. Accompanied by a Levy’s black leather guitar strap and a Gretsch Certificate of Authenticity signed by Fred Gretsch and Bono. Donated to Music Rising from Bono’s personal collection.
