Slash custom Gibson Les Paul, serial number SL512, with mahogany back and neck, carved maple top, rosewood fingerboard, Dark Tobacco Burst finish, Duncan Alnico Pro II humbucker pick-ups and Fishman Power Bridge, accompanied by a Gibson Custom certificate of authenticity and signed "Slash" with a hand drawn graphic in black marker. Born into a entertainment family (his mother was a costume designer for David Bowie and his father worked with Neil Young and Joni Mitchell) the young man was dubbed "Slash" by actor and family friend Seymour Cassel. Despite an early disappointment of failing to join the band Poison after auditioning, Slash recovered well and is now thought of as one of the foremost guitarists in the world. Categories: Slash
