Slash custom Gibson Les Paul, serial number SL512, with mahogany back and neck, carved maple top, rosewood fingerboard, Dark Tobacco Burst finish, Duncan Alnico Pro II humbucker pick-ups and Fishman Power Bridge, accompanied by a Gibson Custom certificate of authenticity and signed "Slash" with a hand drawn graphic in black marker. Born into a entertainment family (his mother was a costume designer for David Bowie and his father worked with Neil Young and Joni Mitchell) the young man was dubbed "Slash" by actor and family friend Seymour Cassel.
