Two Similar Chippendale Mahogany Carved Side Chairs, Pennsylvania or Maryland, c. 1780, the cyma curved beaded crests, one ruffle, the other leaf-carved, over Gothic strapwork splats centering a trefoil motif directly above the molded shoes flanked by raked molded stiles over trapezoidal slip seats in molded seat frames over square beaded front legs joined to the square back legs by H-form square stretchers, old finish, (one with minor repairs), ht. 38 1/2, seat ht. 17 in.
