Attributed to Robert Street, (American, 1796-1865) Portrait of Jane Elizabeth Armstrong. Unsigned, artist and sitter identified by labels affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas, depicting the woman wearing a dark blue dress, gold jewelry and holding a sprig of pink roses, seated on a red velvet couch, with red drapery to her side, sight size 32 x 26 in., framed. Condition: Scattered retouch, restoration.
