Ed Dwight (American (Colorado), b. 1933). "Jazz Saxophonist”- 1984, patinated and parcel gilt bronze, signed and dated to verso. Modern sculpture depicting an African American male jazz saxophone player supporting a gilded instrument with two hands suspended by absent arms as he blows into the mouth piece from a downturned and mustached visage, the bronze to an integral red stained stepped wood base with live back edge. Approximate height 15", width 7", depth 6.75". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Dr. & Mrs. Calvin Wayne McLarin, Atlanta, Georgia.
